The Barry County Agricultural Society (BCAS) has begun looking into options to provide the Barry County area with a family friendly and enjoyable county fair. This fair has been a part of our community since 1853.
The BCAS faces many logistical challenges this year. We believe our local youth need and deserve the opportunity to reconnect, and exhibit their projects, talents, and animals they have raised and cared for.
We are doing our research to be able to welcome back as many people as allowed with the regulations that will be in place at the time of the fair. We want families to be safe and be able to experience the sights, sounds, tastes and smells associated with the Barry County Fair held in July, at the Barry Expo Center, located on M-37 between Hastings and Middleville.
The nine member volunteer board is hoping to have a 2021 Barry County Fair that is as familiar as possible while still remaining financially viable and physically safe for all, allowing future fairs to continue to flourish.
Volunteers are a very important to the BCAS. Their input will be used in helping to adapt, guide, explore and shape all the potential events and activities which will celebrate a return to good times at the Barry County Fair.
More information will be announced as soon as available.
